RAKFOND CELEBRATES FIRST ANNIVERSARY

This December RakFond celebrates its first anniversary since official registration. During this time we have assembled an excellent team, became partners with the largest professional association – the Russian Society of Clinical Oncology  (RUSSCO), organized and successfully held the first joint grant competition for young oncologists and funded first research projects (https://wp.me/PawAKW-Ii and https://wp.me/PawAKW-Ir). Preliminary results of one of the funded studies were presented during the Russian Oncology Congress in November.

We launched the Foundation at the kick-off conference in April. Since then we made new partnerships and are planning for a new funding program. 

We launched a series of outreach materials describing the role and the significance of scientific research and organized a session on promoting clinical trials in oncology within the program of the Russian Oncology Congress, which gathered numerous participants and led to a very interesting discussion.

We were able to make these first steps through joint efforts of the members of the Board of Directors, the Board of Trustees and the Scientific Advisory Board, donors, partners, and, very importantly, the team of great volunteers. Thank you for your everyday involvement in our work!
